Fritzing is a free and open source electronic automation designer and utility developed by University of applied Sciences Potsdam for Windows. It's efficient, user friendly, advanced, comprehensive and reliable.

A tool for streamlining projects and prototyping for designers
Fritzing is an open-source initiative to support designers, artists, researchers and hobbyists to take the step from physical prototyping to actual product. We are creating this software in the spirit of Processing and Arduino, developing a tool that allows users to document their Arduino and other electronic-based prototypes, and to create a PCB layout for manufacturing. The complementing website helps users to share and discuss drafts and experiences as well as to reduce manufacturing costs.
Fritzing is essentially an Electronic Design Automation software with a low entry barrier, suited for the needs of designers and artists. It uses the metaphor of the breadboard, so that it is easy to transfer your hardware sketch to the software. From there it is possible to create PCB layouts for turning it into a robust PCB yourself or by help of a manufacturer.

Compatibility and License
Is Fritzing free to download?
Fritzing has been released under the open source GPL license on Windows from miscellaneous software. The license provides the options to freely download, install, run and share this program without any restrictions. The source code for Fritzing should be freely available and modifications are certainly permitted as well as the option to inspect the software.
What version of Windows can Fritzing run on?
Fritzing can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.
